Every plot twist of Laura & Brian’s love story is intertwined with the character of Dayton and her history. So it’s only fitting that they tied the knot at Elandee – the church built by famous chocolatier Esther Price – and that the tandem bicycle he proposed on be a part of their grand reception entrance at Carillon Historical Park – home to the world’s first practical airplane, the 1905 Wright Flyer III. In the photos below you’ll meet Alfie, their lovable pooch and see guests wearing hair fascinators, as it was the year for royal weddings. Also: Paper airplanes are thrown, red cake gets gobbled & unicycles ridden most spectacularly.
I wish you could meet Laura & Brian in real life & spend an evening with them sitting at the tables in the backyard patio at the Trolley Stop as I did, listening to their stories. Their kind of love spills over and colors every minute of the day, so you’ll not be surprised to hear that it was difficult to pare down my favorite shots from the day into a halfway manageable blog post. Quick shout-out to my good friend (and soon to be brother-in-law!) Branton Hoblit, who teamed up with me for the day. Some of the photos below are his.
